Feb-2026
The beginning of February 2026 was marked by the successful 5th consortium meeting of the Aequalis4TCLF project, hosted in Ljubljana by the Textile Association of Slovenia. The meeting took place at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, where we would like to sincerely thank Brigita Tomšič for her kind and encouraging opening remarks and warm welcome.
In-person consortium meetings, held every six months, represent an extremely valuable opportunity for all project partners to come together, review the work carried out so far, and jointly plan future steps. This meeting was particularly important, as it marks the transition into the second half of the Aequalis4TCLF project, meaning that partners are now entering the final two years of this joint effort.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the development of a more equal, innovative, and resilient textile, clothing, leather, and footwear (TCLF) sector. Both current and upcoming activities are primarily focused on:
-
developing national skills strategies in seven countries,
-
establishing new regional TCLF skills partnerships,
-
creating learning materials and educational programs for reskilling and upskilling employees in the sector, including interactive learning tools.
At the midpoint of the project, we are excited to continue addressing skills gaps in the TCLF sector and supporting its long-term readiness for future challenges. Our goal is to ensure that both workers and companies are equipped with the appropriate knowledge for successful and sustainable operations.
